2007 Student/Farmworker Alliance Encuentro

In the wake of the victory over McDonald's by the  Coalition of Immokalee Workers and its student, youth, and community allies, dozens of young organizers from
around the country will gather in Immokalee, Florida -  birthplace of the CIW and the Campaign for Fair Food - for a weekend of skill-sharing, strategizing, and community-building as we take the struggle to end  sweatshops in the fields to Burger King and the rest of  the fast-food industry.

This gathering - the third-annual Student/Farmworker  Alliance Encuentro - will take place over Labor Day  weekend, August 30 to September 3. This year's Encuentro will also include a major action at Burger King  headquarters in Miami.
